Legal Resources Foundation Trust

Introduction

Legal Resources Foundation Trust (LRF) is an independent, not for profit Kenyan civil society organization that promotes access to justice through human rights education, research and policy advocacy. Founded in 1993, LRF’s main thrust is in enhancing the administration of justice for the poor, vulnerable and marginalized in line with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals on poverty eradication, Human development and Kenya’s Poverty eradication strategy. This necessitates working with actors in the justice system, legal practitioners and various governance institutions. It does this through participatory interventions aimed at empowering communities to claim and defend their rights.
